Laurel Leaves

Here are the fabled laurel leaves
A smile, when it’s fading –
Golden in the threadbare past
While you constructed little ditties
They knocked together temples of stone
But now their smoldering glow is fading
And while nothing is inside upside-down
You find yourself in all alone
In the leaves there’s higher power
In the leaves there’s higher life
And above the godly tower
You’ll dance a peasant’s dance of life

Very nice! Short but effective. Nothing more to say really.

Keep up the great work.

I wonder if people felt the freedom in our culture to love louder, if they'd be quicker to say "I miss you" when the absence of someone is felt instead of just thinking it.
